Yesterday evening, three groups of adventurers banded together in an attempt to rid Norrath of the dragon, Lord Nagafen. A total of approximately 40 brave souls from the Council, the Circle of Eternity and the guild Celestial Tomb participated in the raid.

We entered Nagafen's Lair (aka Solusek's Eye B) and fought our way to a large room in the complex of caverns that housed a large Stone Spider. This beast it was soon discovered was impervious to all forms of magic. Our Warriors, Paladins, Rangers and Rogues set in with their blades to fight it. The gods' favor was upon us and we were able to slay the beast with no losses
of our own.

We healed our wounds, then various enchantments were placed upon us from the various Shamen and Clerics amongst us. It was rumored that the path that lead to the dragon was guarded by Fire Giants. We soon found this rumor to be true. Though these giants were powerful, they could not
withstand the might of our combined forces. One by one they fell, among their number Lord Skarlon, Magi Roykl and King Tranix. Amongst the prizes found among these giants were armored sleeves wrought of Mithril. These were awarded to the brave Dinanmer, dwarven warrior of Kaladim and
member of the Council. Our victory was not without cost as many were slain. It was indeed fortunate to have among our number a few powerful clerics, including our own guild leader - Rutgger Silveraxe, who were able to call upon the gods to resurrect those that had fallen. I praise Karana and Tunare for keeping watch over me and sparing me from such a fate.

We soon found ourselves at the entrance to the very chamber of Lord Nagafen himself. The warrior folk among us made ready their weapons while the practitioners of magic among us memorized what spells they thought would be most effective in slaying this ancient great dragon. The most powerful
clerics and druids among us placed powerful enchantments upon us in hopes of providing us with a better chance at survival. We gathered at the door of the great chamber and readied ourselves for what was certain to be our doom.

The door was opened. We rushed in shouting our battle cries. Nagafen stood, ready for our assault. I felt my skin burn as his breath of flame washed over me. We continued to fight, our lungs searing from the heat. I was slashed by one of the dragon's great claws. Then Nagafen reared up and let loose another of his great blasts of dragonfire. I felt the fire wash over me, then I felt nothing at all. I floated in limbo for some time. I was finally resurrected by Rutgger and found that our company had been victorious in its quest to slay the dragon. Indeed - his great body still lay on the floor of his hall. Amongst his hoard was recovered a great warhammer which was bestowed upon our own great shaman Farynd o'Tempus. Two great red dragon scales were also recovered and awarded to the other guilds present. These will be used to form powerful pieces of armor.

It was a great adventure indeed.
