If you would like to see the latest game to hit the market, meet one of your favorite authors or artists, you can find no other place better then a gaming convention. Most games that we think of as ground breaking in the RPG area, were debuted at a gaming convention - GENCON being the most popular. If you would have been at last years GENCON, you could have been among the first to see Mage Knight and D&D 3rd edition.

Not interested in gaming? Well there are Cons of all types dealing with everything from general horror and science fiction, to specific Cons for shows like Star Trek and Xena/Hercules. Odds are, if you are interested in anything fantasy or science fiction related, you can find a Con that you will enjoy. They give you a chance to meet people with similar interests, and to meet some of your favorite actors/characters and authors etc.
